| Greenfield Retreat is pleased to announce that one of our cottages is now open year round for women to come for personal retreats. Located in the foothills of the Shenandoah Mountains at the forest edge, the retreat offers the perfect opportunity for an individual to deepen their relationship with God through reading, study, introspection and meditation, free from the demands of everyday life. The accommodations are in Hillside cottage which has three bedrooms, one bathroom, living room and kitchenette. The retreatant can have the cottage to themselves, or groups of two or three are also welcome. Retreatants will need to provide their own food during the time of their stay and the kitchenette is equipped with refrigerator, stove, toaster oven, microwave, and dishware. The length of stay can be from 1 to 14 days. During the stay retreatants are welcome to participate in the morning and evening meditations with the monastics and the regularly scheduled public services on Tuesday night (3-hour meditation), Thursday evening inspiration and prayer service, and Sunday morning meditation and reading service. For those who may be interested, participating in a variety of service activities such as gardening and general upkeep of the grounds is also possible.
